Simply Amazing                                                                                         59 Pages

This is my latest book on brand-new and updated magic creations. It includes templates for all the necessary tricks and includes full colour photo step-by-step breakdowns for all the explanations. In 2011-2012, I lectured to numerous magic clubs on all the tricks in this book.

Included is my latest Story-Deck routine as performed in the British Championships of Magic, my Champagne Compass, Love has great Power, Swings and Circles and Angry Bird Tricks that all retail separately at more than the cost of the book! The Dream Prediction is my currently closing trick in my adult stage Mentalism show and is a sure-fire knockout with any audience. There are two effects with an iPhone included which I perform when stopped in the street and basically, every trick in this book I have performed for years and I perform each week.

1)       Champagne Compass
A Champagne bottle continuously changes direction, until being opened up to reveal two comical endings.

2)       Heart Paddles & Sponges
The hearts on two paddles jump all over the place, before emerging out of the paddles and turning into a giant heart.

3)       Love Has Great Power
Ten picture cards are shown, mixed, and dealt into pair but when they are turned over, they all magically match.

4)       Playing Cards Match
The four Kings & Queens are mixed up and dealt into pairs, but when they are turned over, they all mysteriously match.

5)       Jack Spade: Private Detective
All 52 playing cards are produced in-time to a narrative about a detective finding a stolen ring.

6)       Swings & Circles
A pendant routine where the spectator gets to control the actions of a small object using the power of their mind.

7)       The Magic List
A list of objects is read out and two people are asked to think of one each. Yet somehow, you are able to read their minds.

8)       Impromptu Find The Lady
Three Card Monte - Using just three normal cards, no table, no gimmicks or extra cards and all the bad gags included.

9)       Spelling Packet
Eight cards are mixed up, yet the magician can spell to any card he wishes then transpose the last card with magic!

10)         The Angry Bird Trick
Four cards with birds on them are shown. One by one the birds vanish, only to reappear on the spectator’s card.

11)         Guess Who
A game of Guess Who is played where all but one piece is eliminated, that matches your prediction.

12)         Dream Prediction
A book is chosen, a page and a word. Yet all three matches your prediction made before the show even started.

Don't Believe Your Eyes                                                                               52 Pages

This book is basically my lecture for the speakers circuit. I perform a lecture called 'Don't believe Your Eyes' which looks at human perception and how our eyes are fooled into making assumptions that are different to what we are actually seeing. These are my notes tidied up into a book, with a couple of added examples for each category along with my social commentary throughout the book making it a thoroughly entertaining read.

Within the pages we look at optical illusions, perception tricks, blind-spots, common presumptions along with tricks in advertising. We explore the early history of camouflage and how illusions played a pivotal part in both World War 1 and 2. Along with popular illusions of today that include fashion and make-up.

The Funny Adventures of Mr. Grimm                                                      369 Pages

Synopsis

Mr Grimm is a Reaper, a man with no real face (like Joan Rivers) who has not spoken a single word in over a thousand years (probably because he doesn’t have anything interesting to say). After reaping Arnold Schwarzenegger who this time, won’t be back, he has decided to retire from the profession and move in with the human race, accepting all that it entails. Getting a job, falling in love, driving a car and paying taxes (maybe not that last one). His adventures will see him experiencing the best (and worst) that our world has to offer from taking a glorious holiday in rainy Blackpool to speeddating. From understanding Football to understanding women (an impossible task that I’m sure you already know), Mr Grimm is about to experience it all.

The Success Stories                                                                                    34 Pages

This book is an accumulation of stories from my sixteen years career in magic. These are the shows where I went above and beyond to help out people in need, using my skills as a magician to help save the day.

Stories like when the scheduled entertainer failed to arrive, and I stepped in with no props to hand, and still performed a full show. When I performed a lecture for a group of fellow magicians with absolutely no preparation time and how I mentored younger magicians to follow their passion in the art of magic.

Also included are the more unusual shows, such as when I performed for a room full of adults wearing diapers. When I taught magic at a summer school in America and when I performed at Rio Ferdinand’s New Year Eve Party.

So sit back, and enjoy these funny antidotes from my career as a professional magician and how I persevered through some troubling shows, to come out as an outstanding success.

The Disaster Stories                                                                                      32 Pages

Disaster Stories is an accumulation of funny stories from my career in magic. The ones where nothing went as planned. The times where I got the card wrong, set the building on fire, was held hostage on a boat and was humiliated on Britain’s Got Talent in front of 14 million people.

Understand now that I have performed over 3000 shows in my career and almost all of them went smoothly. These stories of the very rare exceptions when not everything went the way it should have done.

I look back and read these stories in my twilight years (I’m only 30) and reminisce about what happened, and what I learnt from the experience. Unusually I learn to get paid in advance but occasionally I also learn a valuable life lesson as well.

So sit back, enjoy and laugh as I amuse you with the stories of a magicians learning his trade and coping with the madness that surrounds him.

Just My Opinion                                                                                            36 Pages

This book is an accumulation of articles which I wrote for numerous magazines in magic, including the famous Magic Circle Magazine.

They are my insights, thoughts and feelings about certain aspects of my profession as a magician. I look at other entertainers starting out and feel that my years of experience may give them some insight in how to improve their skills.

Each chapter is a different article looking at a certain topic such as how to perform on a big stage, what length should your show be and how to get a standing ovation.

All these articles were written over the last several years and compiled into this one book for you to read and enjoy (or most likely disagree with and decide to sell this book in the next magic auction).

So sit back, relax and enjoy the book; but remember - it’s all just my opinion!

A Journey Through Space - An Educational Magic Show                            90 Pages

This booklet contains the complete routines for an educational magic show based around astronomy and Space.  The entire show is narrative based, with a story that runs throughout the entire show. It starts at Space camp, where the children undergo special astronaut training. They then learn a little about how we left earth and the first monkey that went into space.

We leave the earth and take a trip to the moon, before moving onto the planet Saturn. We then finally return back home which concludes the show.

At each part of the mission, there are magical effects that help tell the educational message. Each trick has a number of scientific facts that build on the teachings of astronomy.

Most of the tricks can either be made or bought and help fill an entire stage or the corner of the classroom.

An educational show such as this one can be utilised to promote yourself during the school year, as it teaches the curriculum. It can help obtain more work, and promote your name for other shows down the line.

Practical Cut-Out Magic For Teaching                                                        64 Pages

This book contains 35 effects that you can use to run a magic workshop with. The idea behind this book, was to produce a series of effects that simply need cutting out of a piece of paper before teaching and performing.

The book itself can be reproduced in a photocopier, and can work in black and white, this makes the book cheap and easy to distribute to all children.

The effects themselves are designed to be efficient time-fillers in any magic class. The children cut out the props and assemble the effect. You can then perform and teach the effect in the class. All the effects have simple instructions, so the children can take the book away with them after the class and can continue working through it. Or you can give the book away as a gift for them helping out in your show etc.

There are a few optical illusion based tricks for the very young, and more complex tricks such as cards and mind reading for the older children.

I use this book for magic workshops, and choose the effects I want to teach depending on the audience. We usually get through 8 of the tricks, upon which the children then take the rest of the book home to do in their own free time. This means the parents are getting extra piece of mind at home, and off course, you have your advertising details on the back of the book!
